1. Why should I choose Pup Strut?
We are a small personalized company who started this business to simply get the privileged of spending more time with our furry friends on a daily bases. There is a great deal of respect for animals as we truly appreciate there value. We care deeply for your pets and all creatures on this planet so your can feel completely confident leaving your cherished pet in our hands. This is a not a job it's a passion will always go above and beyond because we love what we do! We are Pet First Aid and CPR certified for the safety of your pets. We are licensed, bonded and fully insured.
2. Is there a consultation before beginning a service?
Yes! We set up a free initial consultation so we can meet your wonderful pal and get to know each other. We discuss your pets needs and fit them with the perfect service package! This may include a short walk to determine there pace, ability and handling behavors. We may advise you about what service we feel fits your dog. During this time we can answer any questions or concerns you may have. You can see how we interact with your pet as we want you to feel completely comfortable and confident that your pet is in good hands. During this time, you will be asked for a copy of your house key and to complete a few standard forms.
5. Is there a charge for a consultation?

6. Are there any requirements for dog join a group walk?
Yes. For group walks, park visits and doggy daycare services we require that your dog is friendly towards people and other dogs, non-aggressive in nature and does not pull excessively on-leash. Owners must provide dogs with a well fitted collar, ID tags & leash. Dogs must be neutered/spayed, and have up-to-date vaccinations. (written proof from a veterinarian for Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, Rabies, Leptospirosis and strongly recommend Bordetella will be required). Dogs must be at least 6 months old to join a group.
7. What is your cancellation policy?
For dog walks, puppy visits and daycare, there is a fee of 25% of the regularly scheduled fee, if we are given less than 24 hours notice of cancellation.
For our pet sitting service, there is a fee of 50% of the total service contract, if we are given less than 7 days notice of cancellation before the start of the contract.
8. How and when do I pay?
We will issue an invoice before or at the start of a service week. Invoices are to be paid on a weekly basis on the last day of service.
We take personal cheques or cash or email money transfers.
9. What is your policy with regards to extreme weather conditions?
On very rare occasions of extreme weather, walks will be cancelled or cut short to avoid unnecessary compromise of your dog’s safety or our own. If this should ever happen, we will contact you immediately to keep you informed.
10. What happens if it is raining?
A little rain never hurt anyone! Your pooches wont mind a little rain, but will come home wet and muddy. We ask all clients to provide a towel by the door so that we can dry your dog off. As we will have other dogs to drop off too we wont have time to bath your dog to get them fully cleaned up so If you want your dog put in an area of the home that is blocked off, or in a crate on rainy days, please let us know.
11. What happens if there is an emergency with my dog?
We require all new clients to fill out a veterinary release form which will include work phone numbers and/or any alternate contacts. In the event there is an emergency, every effort will be made to contract you and receive instructions before taking your dog or pet for medical care. If you or a family member cannot be reached, we will not hesitate to take your dog to your veterinarian.
12. Do you sit for cats and other domestic pets?
Absolutely! We love to care for all our animal friends!
13. Can I schedule a pet sitting service last minute?
It never hurts to ask! In general we recommend booking your pet sitting a week or two in advance as we cannot guarantee that we will be available. We booked up quickly!
14. Do you care for pets who have special needs?
Of course! We are happy to accommodate any special needs your pet may have. This includes administering medication, following special diets, carrying pets, etc. Just advise us of what your pet needs. We take are job very seriously and provide the best care possible.
15. How does dog daycare work?
To put it simply your dog becomes our companion for the day! We will pick your dog up or have you drop them off in the morning and he won't return home until the end of the day. Your dog will participate in all our scheduled group walks and park visits and will have plenty of exercise as well as rest in the car as we drop off/pick up other dogs. He will be watched carefully and provided plenty of water and some treats! We love the one-on-one bonding we get with our doggy daycare companions! A full day of fun, your dog will love it too!
